NATIONAL SENIOR LEAGUE (NSL) – WII BOWLING

The NSL Spring 2026 season runs Saturday, February 28, 2026 through Friday, May 29, 2026.

Communities of all types are invited to participate in a friendly, structured national Wii Bowling competition designed for consistency, accessibility, and weekly engagement.

Season Structure

  • 2 Startup Weeks – establish bowler and team averages
  • 7 Conference Weeks – round‑robin competition for Conference Championships
  • 4 Playoff Weeks – single‑elimination competition for Division Championships

Weekly Rhythm

  • Communities bowl Saturday through Friday
  • Each team of 4 bowlers plays 2 games each week.
  • Coaches record scores by Friday
  • Weekly reports are posted on Saturday

Fees:

  • $250 for 1–4 teams
  • $350 for 5–9 teams
  • $450 for 10–14 teams

WHO BOWLS

The NSL Wii Bowling Championships are open to any community offering supervised Wii Bowling, including:

  • Independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care communities
  • Communities supporting residents with intellectual or developmental differences
  • Any community center offering recreational programming

COACHES and TEAMS

Each community designates at least one Coach (typically the Activity Director or a proactive team captain),

  • Coaches organize up to 20 teams of 4 bowlers plus substitutes.
  • Team captains report weekly scores to the coach for posting and distribution of reports

POSTING & REPORTING

Coaches receive a Welcome Email with:

  • A private link to their community’s scorebook
  • A link to current and prior public reports

  • CHAMPIONS DIVISION – 250 to 300 team average
  • SUPER ELITE DIVISION – 220 to 250 team average
  • ELITE 1 DIVISION – 200 to 220 team average
  • ELITE 2 DIVISION – 180 to 200 team average
  • SUPER MASTER DIVISION – 160 to 180 team average
  • MASTER 1 DIVISION – 140 to 160 team average
  • MASTER 2 DIVISION – less than 140 team average



MISCELLANEOUS NSL INFORMATION

  • The first year of the NSL was 2010.  We are in our 16th year of providing Wii Bowl Championships
  • Any internet Wii Bowling game can be used.  Nintendo Wii Sport Package and Nintendo Switch are recommended.  The Nintendo Wii Sport Package can be found at most GAME STOP stores
  • The NSL is a mission driven league sharing profits, if any, with dementia/Alzheimer’s programs

Basic Rules

  • Bowl in your community - no traveling required.
  • Form a team with up to four bowlers and allow four substitutes to create an 8-member roster.
  • It’s recommended to have a minimum of 5 registered bowlers on your team.
  • Each team has a ‘coach’ who is responsible for organization and keeping an open line of communication with the league. The coach is also responsible for posting weekly scores on our NSL/NCL website.

Prizes and Participation

All bowlers receive participation certificates and are recognized with NSL/NCL etched glass awards at the national championship level. Our leagues are designed for fun, and we take care of the logistics so you can focus on the game. We also name and honor a Wii Bowler of the Year and a Wii Coach of the Year.

  • Champions: Average 250 to 300
  • Super Elite: Average 220 to 250
  • Elite 1: Average 200 to 220
  • Elite 2: Average 180 to 200
  • Super Master: Average 160 to 180
  • Master 1: Average 140 to 160
  • Master 2: Average less than 140

The 2025 Fall Season Featured

  • 140 Teams Representing 44 Communities From 24 States
  • 744 Registered Wii Bowlers
  • Three Bowlers Averaged 290+ Pins
  • Thirty Teams Averaged 200+ Pins
  • 30 Members Made the Prestigious NSL 300 Club

As in past seasons, Senior Centers rank as having Wii Bowlers with the highest averages. Notably, Kingsport Senior Center in Kingsport, TN, and Generations Senior Center in Plymouth, WI, continue to dominate at the highest level of Wii Bowling.
